We (Travis, Erin and I as well as the athletes and families at Heritage School) had the opportunity to watch the movie, “Greater”, yesterday evening. Wow! What an inspiring story! Highly recommend this movie to teen youth and their families. It is based on the true story of Brandon Burlsworth. Amazing young man.
Thank-you to our Athletic Director, Dr. Tami Givens, for arranging this opportunity. And a HUGE thank-you to Tate Richburg and Cecil Atkission Motors for underwriting the tickets and snacks for us all! Also thank-you to Fritztown Cinema for the showing. Lovely evening.

As most of you know, we demolished the old cinder block house on the property. Unfortunately, remodeling it was not a great option as the foundation was compromised and we found tons of mold, rot and termites during demolition. Very yucky! We were able to salvage some (cool rock, flooring, tin, etc.) that we and some friends will be reusing.
Here are some photos of the demolition and beginnings of the new work Matt has started for our new little house! Can’t wait!!
Here’s one more set of photos I snitched from Matt of the before and after demolition:
I just received a book I ordered: “Charcuterie: The Craft of Salting, Smoking and Curing” by Michael Ruhlman and Brian Polcyn. I ordered this book to assist in my quest of learning how to make EXCELLENT, YUMMY, AMAZING bacon myself.
I just read the first part of the first line of the introduction and am liking it already! “A book devoted to animal fat and salt…”
How much more could one ask for?!!
Happy New Year from us and all the animals! 🙂 Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and online casino that you all continue to have a restful break.
